Where were you on July 6th?? Well, if you were at the JETAA Diner's Club then you had a good time (and could probably skip this next bit) We started off at Yoyogi Japanese Restaurant on Swanston St. in the city. The food was quite tasty and the atmosphere very social.

Yoyogi is a hectic little cafe that prefers to get 'em in and get 'em out but none the less a place we would recommend for lunch or a casual dinner. We had a nice big table near the front so we had the option of chit chatting with everyone or to people watch the many people coming and going.

Next was high atop the Sofitel where a few of us enjoyed some very tasty coffee, quiet conversation and live piano entertainment. A perfect way to wind down after a busy week. All this while overlooking the world's most livable city. (only during toilet breaks though)

In September, a relaxing and enjoyable night was had for those who turned up to the last diners club at Fiesta Mexican Restaurant. We sat in a cosy room on bright coloured cushions around a table close to the floor. Unfortunately some of us walked away with some very stiff knees as the technology of cutting a

hole in the floor hasn't come across from Japan yet.

Never-the-less the food made up for it. Some tasty dishes included those with the classic Mexican spices with cheese, sour cream, avacado etc. Wonderful conversation and funny stories were shared as always. We had a couple of new faces which is fantastic and added some fresh flare to the night.

Thank you to those of you who made it and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the next diners club which will be held at:

Kumiko has discovered a real gem for us this issue. Manju might be a little on the pricey side, but is definitely worth the price. It features a blend of Japanese and French cuisine. Perhaps if I took her there, she'd forgive me for including her photo!
