The Japanese Studies Centre at Monash University is offering a 5 week course of basic manga drawing including Japanese style manga and animation, creating your own story, painting Cel sheets and publishing. After a short demonstration in the auditorium of the Japanese studies centre, over 30 people watched and immediately applied to join the course.after the presentation. Students are drawn from elementary schools, high schools and universities. Due to this demand, students are split into 2 classes, Wednesday and Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm every week. The first week for beginner's and upper class will be held on 17th and 18th July, respectively. (Weekend classes can be arranged as required.)
Cost: $170 (Full time students: $150) + plus materials fee (approx. $25) Enrolment due: 3rd July 2002 (Wed) (Maximum 16 people each)
