Happy New Year!
あけましておめでとうございます！

It's been a while since our last issue, so this issue has a bit more than usual. Thanks to those amongst us who have contributed to make this newsletter a bumper edition.

The photo below was taken at the welcome back reception at the Japanese Consul, Mr. Miyashita's, house, held mid-December. It was really good to see so many people there - testimony to the continued popularity of the JET Program.

Some of these returnees we were actually able to meet at our Christmas Dinner - you can read a review of the night on page 4. Other articles (apart from the usual fare) include an interview with a Japanese Aussie Rules Football team, a dance performance by a JET alumnus and advice on managing a career whilst changing jobs. The latter could be particularly useful to those who have just got back.

I hope you enjoy this issue of our newsletter.
